Community Service - Toys for Tots

During the Christmas season, a small group of our students and teachers spent the afternoon volunteering at the El Dorado County Toys for Tots toy drive.

All participates were excited to be able to give back and serve our local community.

Stay tuned for information about upcoming Foothill Learning Academy opportunists to service others in our community.

Capitol Field Trip

The HISTORY Rocks! Election classes studied, in detail,  the election process in the United States. As the cap stone of the class, the students meet with Assemblywoman Beth Gaines, visited the California Assembly chambers, and toured the State Capitol. Visiting the floor of the state Assembly chamber was a special and unique experience!

We are currently in the process of planning another trip to the State Capitol to visit the Senate cambers and meet with Senator Ted Gaines.

First Annual Pasta Feed &
Launch of
Foothill Learning Academy

On August 18, at our first annual Back to School Pasta feed, we publicly announced the formation Foothill Learning Academy as non-profit public benefit corporation.  In a fun filled night, 175 members of our learning community came together to enjoy an amazing pasta meal and wonderful fellowship. The students were thrilled to reconnect with their homeschool friends.

Traditional Science Fair

Wouldn't it be great to have our very own Foothill Learning Academy Science Fair? Mrs. Hindmarsh, the "science nerd," would love for a parent volunteer to oganize a Science Fair for our students. Any takers?

Please reach out to Mrs. Hindmarsh if this is your calling. lisahindmarsh@yahoo.com
