Hi, I’m Mrs. DeVore. As a former elementary teacher and garden coach I taught for many years in the school system and then have been homeschooling my kids for the past 16 years. Gardening became a central part of my life through homeschooling. Learning how to grow food in our backyard garden with my kids became a passion as our family made connections around the garden. I have taken that love of teaching and gardening to give families and students a head start into growing their own food.

Showing students how to use the seasons for their advantage, how to set up a garden for success in 4 simple steps and providing support and learning to build confidence in learning how to garden through all the stages of development.

I have a master's in education with a reading specialty and am certified as a Gardenary  Coach and Designer.

I have been teaching gardening classes to homeschooling families and love the opportunity to build life-skills that will never disappear but come in handy when needed for students.

 What parents are saying:

"Mrs. DeVore is an amazing instructor who communicates so well with children keeping them engaged and motivated.  She is a walking encyclopedia of gardening knowledge and her availability to consult and dream and troubleshoot problems is truly incredible. I can’t say enough good things about this course and I’m so happy my kids took it and are now ready to blossom into productive gardeners!" Cathy Yassa

"We are a family of 7 and started Mrs. DeVore's garden weekly garden class with no garden skills. We have loved learning alongside our kids on what healthy soil looks like, what plants need, and how we can successfully grow some of our own food. It's been so calming and enjoyable for us all."
