Chef Arcot has been sharing her love for cooking through classes for the past 13 years. She is a homeschooling mom herself and has been teaching children for 12 years. She offers cooking classes in Sacramento and surrounding areas and also gives guest lectures to the culinary students at The American River College every semester.

 

She invites your children to learn about various countries and their culture through cooking. Chef Arcot is the proud winner of the Iron Chef competition at the California State Fair

My daughter has taken her second class with Shankari and she has thoroughly enjoyed them both.  I appreciate the patience Shankari shows with my 9 year old who can sometimes get a bit flustered.  It is very helpful that we receive the step-by-step process before the class so we can ensure we have everything ready to go as well as a recipe to add to our collection to use again and again!  The speed of the class is perfect for my young daughter and easily keeps her attention/interest.  I highly recommend them for any children interested in cooking.

Shankari Arcot- Sacramento Spice is an Amazing Teacher. Not only do I get the privilege as an adult to take classes with her, my son also takes her children’s classes.  Her kindness and care for the children is welcomed by all of her lovely students.  She is very patient and informative while working with the children, which allows them all their sweet souls to thrive and learn the art of cooking.  My son is 10 years old and only wants to be signed up for more and more classes taught by Shankari-Sacramento Spice!   I give her cooking classes for both adult and children a 10 out of 10!  Highly recommend! ♥️
