K-12 Homeschool Enrichment Program

Nicole grew up in a musical home, singing as a family at churches all over the Bay Area. As a child, she learned to play the piano and flute. She went on to participate in numerous honor bands and honor choirs. Now, her favorite instrument is her voice, singing with her children wherever and whenever they are together. She enjoys watching her son lead a worship band and her daughter play the violin.

Nicole’s first foray into the world of science was an informal experiment at age 8 in her garage, comparing different types of cat food. Years later, that love of science earned her a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to work in the world of pharmaceutical trials, but left that work to be a stay-at-home mom.

Nicole homeschooled her children, kindergarten through high school. They may be done homeschooling, but she is not done teaching. She is bringing her love of teaching to the Foothill Learning Academy. Nicole has taught excelled students, ELL students, students with sensory challenges, and students with learning delays. She enjoys finding each child’s unique learning style and teaching to their strengths. She is super excited to bring her love of music and her love of learning to FLA.
