Lilia G. Bayetti, usually known as Pia, was born in Venezuela. She completed four semesters of medical school in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
She is married and has three multilingual daughters. Her native language is Spanish, which she taught as a volunteer for multiple years, and was formally a teacher for seven years in Plymouth, MN. During that period, she developed her own Spanish curriculum.
Currently, Pia lives in El Dorado Hills, CA, but her family has lived in the USA for almost 30 years. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and the gym. She also enjoys teaching Spanish. A year ago, she started teaching with The Spanish Immersion Program. Pia believes that mastering another language is very important to relate professionally and culturally with people. She believes the languages connect people and their cultures.
