Mrs. Diggs has always been inspired by the power of education. Growing up, some of the most impactful people in her life were teachers. She knew she wanted to make a difference in someone else's life in the same way. So, as soon as she graduated from high school, she began a seven year journey with Folsom Cordova Unified School District. In those seven years, Sara was able to explore many different fields of work. She began as a 1:1 aide for an autistic child in kindergarten, spent three years in a moderate to severe autism class with students in 3rd-6th grade, and another two years in a moderate to severe autism class with students in k-3rd grade.
Aside from working in special education, Sara has also worked in the after school care program as an assistant and taught a tutoring class for ESL students. After starting her own family, she decided to take a break and be a full-time mom. When her kids became school-aged, she decided it was the right time to return to teaching. Her experience in multiple areas and levels of education gives her the ability to work with students at different levels. Sara hopes for the opportunity to make a difference in your child's life and is excited to help children explore the wonders of science!
